CRACK SEALS by Erin Schneider is a collection of short videos of road repairs. As pavement changes and cracks with age, stress and temperature, the city covers the fractures to prevent further rupture. In documenting these infrastructural details from a moving car, the filled in cracks become animated records of the daily interaction between humans, materials and machines that form our built environment.
